Rand Rates has no user accounts and does not ask you for personal information. This page explains what is handled when you visit.

Analytics

The rates pages use Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how the site is used. Google may process information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view, and may use cookies or similar technologies to do so.

Hosting and content delivery

The site runs on Google Firebase. The rates pages also load chart code from the jsDelivr content delivery network and analytics code from Google. As with any website, these services receive technical information such as your IP address when your browser connects to them.

Stored on your device

The site saves your language and theme choices in your browser's local storage so they can be used on your next visit. If you use the holdings tracker, your positions are saved there too. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not visible to us. You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings, which also deletes your holdings unless you have exported a copy.

Emails

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and use them to reply.
